Crews on scene of house fire in Dayton

A 2-story house on Linden Ave. in Dayton catches on fire.

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Firefighters are on the scene of a house fire in Dayton.

Crews battle a house fire on Linden Avenue in Dayton.

Crews responded to a fire call at a two-story house in the 900 block of Linden Avenue near Livingston Avenue just after 6:30 a.m. on Friday.

When firefighters arrived, they found heavy smoke and flames coming from the house.

Fire officials say no one was home when the fire started. No one was hurt.

There were reportedly animals inside the house, but officials didn’t have information on the conditions of those animals.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
