Thousands of rubber ducks dumped into Dayton river

Annual Rubber Duck Regatta

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Thousands of rubber ducks were dropped over the Riverside Drive Bridge Saturday afternoon for the 14th annual Rubber Duck Regatta.

Ducks were adopted for $5 and all of the proceeds went toward helping local children and adults with disabilities through United Rehabilitation Services (URS).

Prizes were given away throughout the event which was emceed by 2 NEWS Anchor Mark Allan.

The winners are:

  • Amber Paxten:  $1,500 Cash Gift Card provided by VerCom Systems Inc.
  • Stefani Baker:  $1,000 Kroger Gift Card

  • Betty Collins:  $1,000 Watson’s Gift Card
  • John Springer:  Apple iPad Air 2 provided by RDI intuitive
  • Larry Dickey:  Burgers for a Year from Bagger Dave’s
