Medics called to Island Park in Dayton after two kids pulled from water

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Two children were pulled from the water at Island Park in Dayton Sunday night.

Crews were called to the park on Helena Street just before 6:00 p.m.

Five Rivers Metro Parks Rangers tell 2 NEWS one child is unresponsive and the other is responsive. Both are being treated at Dayton Children’s Hospital.

Dispatchers say CPR measures were performed after the children were pulled out of the water.

Rangers say the children were attending a party and swimming when they drifted away.

We’re working to learn more on this developing situation and will provide updates when they become available.
