Victim identified in deadly Trotwood house fire

TROTWOOD, Ohio (WDTN) — The Montgomery County Coroner identified the victim in a deadly house fire in Trotwood.

68-year-old Eugene T. Bennett-Bey from Trotwood died in the fire.

Fire crews responded to the 1600 block of Azalea Drive, near Guenther Road, around 4:50 p.m. Monday.

According to the Trotwood Fire Chief, Bennett-Bey and two dogs died inside the house fire.

The State Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
