It is great to be back in Ohio after spending a short time traveling around the nation. I’m also happy to be back in a part of the country where I am surrounded by fellow Cincinnati Reds fans.
I joined the team at WDTN in June 2013 as a Reporter and am happy to also bring you the news as the Weekend Anchor.
Southwest Ohio has always been home for me after growing up much of my life on the West Coast. My father was in the Navy working in submarines so, naturally, we always had to be surrounded by water. I was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. From there, my family would go on to live in Seattle, San Francisco, San Diego, and as far away as Guam. Alas, we finally returned home to Ohio just in time for my middle school years.
While my heart always feels like it is here in Ohio, I still have the itch to travel and see the world. In 2010, I completed my Bachelor’s Degree at Wilmington College in Wilmington, Ohio, before heading off to New York. The next year, I obtained my Master’s Degree in Broadcast and Digital Journalism while studying at Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York.
Even living in Upstate New York, I wanted to keep traveling. During my studies, I interned in Watertown, New York, at WWNY but not after spending part of the winter in warm and sunny Los Angeles working at KABC. My first job out of college would eventually take me to St. Joseph, Missouri, where I worked as a weeknight anchor and reporter for KQTV.
As I mentioned, my life has been full of many travels and filled with amazing stories. I would love to hear your stories as well so don’t hesitate to shoot me an email or a tweet sometime!
