The system that came through yesterday brought gusty winds and rain to the region. We started the day in the mid-60s Monday and actually set a record high in the morning… which doesn’t happen very often!
Today, you’ll notice that it’s much cooler, as we’ve been sitting in the 40s:
Although temps have dropped a lot, we are still above normal. In fact, today’s morning temps are actually a little above our normal highs for this time of year! This afternoon, we will top out near 50-degrees, so it will be a cool day. The breezy conditions in place this morning will diminish during the afternoon, but the clouds may linger through a good part of the day. And while we are starting with some areas of light rain/drizzle, we should be drier in the afternoon, too.
Wednesday will start off with some clouds… but we may see some breaks of sunshine during the early to mid afternoon. Clouds will be on the increase, however, ahead of the next system. This will bring the chance of a few showers by Wednesday evening (and especially Wednesday night). We could even see a lingering shower Thursday morning. But THIS is the system that will bring in the big drop in temperatures for the end of the week! Take a look at how high temperatures play out:
As the colder air moves in on Friday, we could even see a few scattered, light snow showers! BUT it doesn’t last long. We should be back up near 50-degrees early next week… just in time for Christmas. 😉
