The Rebel Girls & 26 Weeks

So I must admit.

I’m a sucker for children’s books.

I absolutely love buying and reading them to my children and now, having them read them to me.

Browsing the web, I stumbled upon perhaps one of the coolest books I’ve seen in a while, and it will not only be perfect for our boys but they can pass it on down to baby Lulu.

The book is called, “Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls” and it’s a children’s book with 100 bedtime stories about extraordinary women.

It is even illustrated by female artists.

Have you ever actually sat down and read a book to your son or daughter and realized how many of the superhero characters are male?

This book seeks to change that.

To show our girls AND our boys that girls can do anything.

Rebel Girls features stories about Frida Kahlo, Joan Jett, Jane Goodall  Serena Williams and 96 others.

I cannot wait to order this book and if you’re thinking the same, you can order it here.

Baby update:

I am 26 weeks along!

Lulu weighs about 2 pounds and she is responding a little bit to light (if you shine a flash light at my belly in a dark room she moves all over the place).

I hardly remember being woken up by kicks with my boys and while I’m tired, I kinda love it with Lu.

Still no progress on a name other than Lulu at the moment and we are fine with that! provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
