Katie Kenney

Katie-KenneyBorn and raised Centerville native, Katie Kenney, joined the “Living Dayton” team as the show’s newest co-host in August of 2014.

You’ve likely seen Katie before, as prior to joining the team she was named Dayton’s CW Star, where she acted as the face of Dayton’s CW on-air, online and in the community as well as a Producer for Dayton’s first reality TV Series The Valley. Over the past year, she has also been honored to serve as a “Living Dayton” contributor and fill-in host.

Katie has always had a keen interest in Broadcasting, starting as early as high school where she co-hosted her own radio show for several years at WCWT-FM. Her passion took her to Miami University where she graduated with a degree in Mass Communication and gained experience working at Dayton’s own WGTZ-FM.

Wanting that well-rounded experience, Katie spent many years in the fields of Marketing and Community Relations serving as Director of Marketing at Heidelberg Distributing Anheuser-Busch Marketing and Community Relations Manager at LexisNexis.

Katie is immersed in the Dayton community, involved with many organizations which fuel her passion including The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), The Ronald McDonald House Charities “Red Shoe Society” where she serves as Vice President and The Leadership Dayton Program (Class of 2012).

This hometown girl still resides in Centerville with her husband, two boys (ages 3.5 and 5), and two golden doodles. She spends her summers at the pool and her winters cuddled up with her crew. On a day to day basis, you’ll find her at the grocery store, on a run through her neighborhood or enjoying one of the many events Dayton has to offer.
